How it works

It starts with
a conversation.

Whether you are looking for a place to work or someone to share your space, start with what matters to you.

  1. 01

    Tell your story

Share your craft, your working style and the kind of environment you enjoy.

  2. 02

    Find a connection

Explore profiles by location, atmosphere and working arrangement. Look for the details you recognise.

  3. 03

    Talk directly

Reach out to someone whose profile resonates. Ask questions, meet and see how it feels.

The C.H.É Étiquette

Good work starts
with how we treat each other.

A few shared principles for the small, everyday things that make a space work.

Read the Étiquette

Be honest

Describe your craft and your space as they really are.

Make time to reply

A thoughtful answer matters, even when the fit is not right.

Respect the room

Take care of the people, the space and the work you share.

From one hairdresser to another

The right fit changes
the everyday.

Running studios and working alongside independent hairdressers taught me how much a room matters. The atmosphere, the expectations, the way people work together.

I built C.H.É to give those things a place in the conversation, from the beginning.

A few useful answers.

Understand how the collective works, then start a conversation at your own pace.

Is C.H.É for chair rental, employed roles or freelance work?

All three. Stylists and barbers can describe the arrangement they are looking for, and salons can share what they offer. Use the working-arrangement filter when browsing.

Can I explore before creating a profile?

You can browse public profiles first. Join and sign in when you want to contact another member through C.H.É.

Does C.H.É arrange the job or rent the chair?

C.H.É helps people discover each other and talk directly. Availability, payment and the terms of working together are agreed between you and the other person.

What should we discuss before working together?

Start with the atmosphere and how you each like to work. Then make the practical details clear:

  • The days, hours and possible start date.
  • Rent or pay, what is included, and any additional costs.
  • Equipment, products, storage and access to the space.
  • Clients, bookings and the expectations of the team.
  • A visit or trial, with its arrangements agreed in advance.
Can I hide my profile when I am no longer looking?

Yes. Switch off availability in your profile dashboard to hide it from search. You can switch it back on when you are looking again.
