These Terms govern your use of C.H.É (Collective Hairdressing Étiquette), accessible at che-collective.com. By creating an account or otherwise using C.H.É, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
C.H.É is operated by KOOP Studio LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13486153), registered office 2 Queenstown Road, London SW8 3RX. In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that company. "You" and "your" refer to the person or business using C.H.É.
C.H.É is a personality-led platform that helps independent stylists, barbers, salons and barbershops connect for employment, chair rental, and collaboration. We are a connection platform, not an employment agency, recruitment agency, or employer. We do not employ members, we do not vet member businesses beyond the verification badge process described on the site, and we are not a party to any agreement reached between members.
To use C.H.É you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under the law of your country of residence. By creating an account, you confirm you meet these requirements.
Stylist and barber accounts are free to create and use. Salon and barbershop accounts may be subject to a paid subscription. Where a subscription applies, the current price, billing cycle, and any free trial will be shown clearly before you commit. We may change subscription pricing on at least 30 days' notice; if you do not accept the new price, you may cancel before it takes effect. Refunds and cancellations follow the policy displayed at the point of subscription.
You retain ownership of the content you upload, including profile photos, portfolio images, bios, and messages ("Member Content"). By uploading Member Content, you grant C.H.É a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute it solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform. This licence ends when you remove the content or close your account, except where the content is needed to comply with legal obligations or has been incorporated into anonymised, aggregated analytics.
You confirm you have the right to upload everything you upload, and that none of it infringes anyone else's rights, including image rights of clients shown in your portfolio.

Any working relationship, employment offer, chair rental, freelance booking, or other arrangement reached between members is solely between those members. C.H.É is not a party to it, makes no representations about either party's suitability or conduct, and accepts no liability for the outcome. We strongly recommend members carry out their own checks (references, qualifications, insurance, right to work) before entering into any commitment.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, if your conduct may harm other members or the platform, or if we are required to do so by law. Where reasonable to do so, we will tell you the reason and give you an opportunity to respond. Termination does not affect rights or obligations that have accrued up to that point.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also stop offering the service entirely on reasonable notice. Where this materially affects a paid subscription, we will refund any unused portion on a pro-rata basis.
C.H.É is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, although we work hard to make it so.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) is limited to the greater of (a) £100, or (b) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss.
Our handling of personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
The C.H.É name, logo, design, and software are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any of it without our prior written permission, except as strictly necessary to use the platform as intended.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be notified by email or by a banner on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use C.H.É after that constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers based elsewhere in the UK or in the EU may also bring proceedings in their own jurisdiction.
