C.H.É
The Étiquette
The C.H.É Étiquette.
CHE is built around a small set of principles. Not a contract. Not enforceable in any legal sense. A shared agreement about the kind of behaviour that makes this collective work for everyone in it.
When you create a profile on C.H.É, you agree to these.
1
Honest profiles.
Describe your space or your craft as it actually is. Not as it sounds good in a job ad. The match only works when the description is true.
2
Culture before CV.
When you are considering someone, weigh how they would feel in your space ahead of how their bookings have looked elsewhere. Skill matters. Fit is what makes it last.
3
Reply to people.
If a stylist, barber or salon reaches out and you are not interested, send a short honest reply. Silence is not étiquette.
4
Trial before commitment.
Wherever sensible, do a trial day or a short stay before either side makes a longer commitment. It is the cheapest way to find out the truth about a match.
5
Respect the work.
Turn up on time. Take care of the space. Treat colleagues and clients the way you would want to be treated. The bar is professional, not corporate.
6
The space matters.
Music, light, scent, the way clients are greeted. These are the salon experience, not afterthoughts. Stylists deserve a space that supports their work. Clients deserve one they want to come back to.
7
No poaching, no drama.
Stylists and barbers move openly. Salons hire respectfully. The industry is small and what goes around comes around.
If this resonates, you are probably the kind of member CHE is trying to be useful to. If it does not, there are other platforms that will suit you better, and that is fine.
