This page explains the cookies and similar storage technologies (such as localStorage) used by che-collective.com. We try to use as few as possible.
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. It lets the site remember things about you, such as whether you are signed in. localStorage is a similar technology that also stores data in your browser, but it stays until you clear it.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Supabase (our auth provider) | Keeps you signed in to your C.H.É account. | 1 year, refreshed on each visit | Strictly necessary |
| che-cookie-consent | C.H.É | Remembers that you have seen and dismissed the cookie banner so we don't show it again. | 12 months | Strictly necessary |
| che-chat-session-id | C.H.É (in-memory only) | A short random ID used to group your messages with the AI assistant during a single visit. Not stored after you close the tab. | Session only | Strictly necessary |
We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. If we add any in future (for example a privacy-respecting analytics tool such as Plausible or PostHog), we will update this page and ask for your consent through the cookie banner before setting them.
Under UK and EU law, cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have actively requested do not require consent. The cookies above all fall into this category — without them you could not sign in or use the platform.
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers also let you disable JavaScript-based storage like localStorage. Note that doing either will likely prevent you from signing in to C.H.É.
